Another week up in Montana, finishing what we had to leave early for the last time, found you as near-perfect as you were last month. Airport layovers aren't a whole lot of fun, especially when we couldn't go through security into the good part until later, but you seemed to take those many hours in stride. You ate a full meal, napped a few times, visited the dog area, and wandered around with me here and there. Even when we went through security, we had a couple more hours till it was actually time to go. I got some dinner and we headed on to the gate with still another 45 minutes till we boarded. And then you got a nice surprise. We took a little walk and ran right into a frozen yogurt stand! Yep, you got some, and were you ever happy about that! Finally it was time to go and we ended up in Kalispell a little after midnight.
This visit was a lot more relaxed than last time and you got to play with your new girlfriend Angel a lot more. Did you ever have fun with her! You don't get to play with other dogs very much so this was a real treat for you. You even shared cookies together after romping around. This time I brought along a tennis ball and you had the time of your life having a wide-open field to chase it in.'
We were there for five days, just quietly visiting and running about town and up to Columbia Falls. Then, all too soon, it was time to come home. This time it involved an overnighter at a Seattle hotel which I'm so thankful we opted to do. It made everything so unhurried and quiet, giving both of us a chance to settle down before returning home.Another five hours in Sea-Tac airport waiting for our flight wasn't all fun and games either but, again, we managed and got to our gate at just the right time. The flight was very uneventful until we landed. We were sitting directly next to the opening of one of the engines and, when we touched down and those engines reversed themselves, it was LOUD!! And it rattled the plane and, wow, the noise even surprised me! You startled over it but didn't bark or run so, for that alone, I was impressed.
Boy, were you happy to see Daddy!! I thought you were going to knock him over. While he got the luggage I hurried you out to the Bone Yard, and then before you knew it we were on our way home.Cubby, you did great! I lost count of how many times you caught my stumbles and trips, and how many things you picked up for me. Thank you so much for all your help!
Now ... let's work on that certification test and get that done! See? There's always something you have to do, isn't there? I love you, LFMacC2 ... you're a treasure!!
