Dear Cubby,
My heart still melts and my eyes still get teary every time
I think about our meeting today. It's
just so amazing the way it all worked out, how we were brought together, and
all of God's wonderful surprises to show me without a doubt I found the right
puppy.
The most awesome surprise of all of them came the moment I
set foot in the puppy enclosure. Before
I could even get my bearings so as not to step on a puppy, you bounded over and
planted yourself at my feet. You chose
me! Then and there, I just knew this was
meant to be, especially when you gave me kisses and kisses and kisses on the
nose. You have the most delightful puppy
breath!
Little one, you're destined for a life you can't possibly
imagine right now! You have so much to
learn, but you'll learn it slowly and solidly, and with a lot more patience on
my part than Sophie ever got because I've learned a lot of things too. But let's not think about that yet.
We'll first count the days until I get to bring you home,
and then we'll snuggle you into a warm and secure place in our hearts, our
home, and our family. I think you'll
like it here, Cubby, and all of us will love having you here.
Only 28 more days!

He is darling
ReplyDeleteOh dear – Wendi and I both will be drooling!!! When do you get to bring Cubby home? Where is Cubby right now? Was the dog bred for the purpose of being a service dog?
ReplyDeleteOh, boy, when you told me you'd found your boy, I was not expecting a puppy! As you pointed out, though, you will be able to train him exactly like you want him trained right from the get-go. I am experiencing the same with my puppy, Duffy.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you. I wouldn't be able to wait either, be strong and realize the choice gift you will be waiting for. Only the best gifts come with time. Me, the Lord has to hit me over the head with a sledge hammer
ReplyDeleteHe's sooooo cute!!! I just want to push my face into his fur and sniff! Congrats!! lol, Val
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious blog! You know how I think that you are such an awesome writer. I’m happy that you have found a puppy. It sounds like a match made in heaven
ReplyDeleteOh Wendy, He is beautiful, GOD has listened to you and blessed you. Bet you can't wait.
